ChickensDid you know...

Chickens may live for five to ten years, depending on the breed.* In commercial intensive farming, a meat chicken generally lives six weeks before slaughter.† A free range or organic meat chicken will usually be slaughtered at about 14 weeks.††

We use 10 ft. X 12 ft. floorless, portable hoop houses which hold about 75 birds each to grow these 8-week meat birds. The broilers are kept happy and healthy by moving them daily to fresh pasture. Using this method provides these birds with all of the fresh air, exercise, sunshine, fresh grass, and bugs they want as well as an unlimited supply of fresh water.

We also provide them with an unlimited buffet of a naturally grown, plant-based protein diet. This diet takes “natural” to a whole new level by using only the freshest, highest quality sun-grown grains and plant proteins to give birds the wholesome, healthy goodness and fresh taste they deserve. Made from natural plant-based ingredients FREE of all animal proteins and fats, it contains all the quality nutrients necessary to raise strong, healthy, and beautifully colored meat birds.

Orders are taken using the order page and a notice is sent out a week or so before they will be ready to inform you of the day your order may be picked up. We take orders on a first-come, first-served basis and we can never raise enough chickens for the demand so please order early. Chickens will be available for pickup at the farm when they are ready. Please keep in mind that, when you order and/or purchase a chicken, you are paying for a live bird. Processing is done as a courtesy.

Group orders are encouraged so you may pick up, pay for, and deliver chickens for your friends and family.
